We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at ease. The kaiseki dinner with local specialties was fantastic, and the breakfast with homemade miso was equally delightful — ごちそうさまでした. The onsen may be small, but it is beautifully designed and very relaxing. Throughout our stay, we truly felt like being at home.

Hot-spring public baths with panoramic views await guests of Sasara Ryokan, just an 8-minute walk from JR Gero Train Station. Traditional multi-course meals are served in the Japanese tatami rooms.

Very good dinners, beautifully presented and delicious. Warm welcome and good service from all the staff. The room is big and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The Onsen is very good. They also have free parking.

The hot springs are top notch. The buffets were also amazing, both dinner and breakfast. I would say the buffets themselves deserve you booking this accommodation alone.

A lot of options for the food. A bit far from the center but there is a shuttle bus to reach it. Rooms are nice too.
