The hotel is in the city centre of Funchal with shops and restaurants nearby and the bus to the airport as well. The room was really big with everything you need in it. The breakfast had a lot of variety, but I'd appreciate if there were more local fruits. Since Madeira has 14 types of bananas, you'd think that they'd offer some of them apart from the standard ones. The roof bar is nice. You can have coffee or food there and swim in the pool if you want. Everything was great!

The hotel is well maintained. The view from the balcony is great. The kitchen is small, but you can cook certain meals. The staff tidy up the room daily.

We stayed at 'Estrelicia Hotel' for a single night. It is situated on a small hill, close to the main road. The starting point of most of the day tours from Funchal is just a 5-minute walk away from this hotel. Vehicle parking is also available. The hotel premises were clean. The receptionist was welcoming & the check-in process was smooth. There was a room to keep your luggage in case you arrived early. The Double Room we booked was on an upper floor and accessible by an elevator. The room was very spacious & the bathroom was too. They were clean & had good lighting. The room had tables, a few chairs, a wardrobe & a television. The bathroom was clean and hot water worked without an issue. Towels, soap & amenities were available. Overall, it was a good stay at Estrelicia Hotel.

Dorisol Buganvilia is located at Funchal at walking distance from seaside promenade with an excelent location with restaurants, bars nearby.
