Hostess was very welcoming and helpful. She helped us with all of our extra needs, just one example of many - when we were late in arriving and checking in she said it was no problem and helped us search for some take away pizza. The place itself is amazing, great breakfast, the area is beautiful with many bicycle roads, close to the lake and a ferry station and a few minutes drive to some lovely towns and attractions

The apartment had absolutely everything that we could've wanted. Extremely well furnished with beautiful crockery, great views. Host very friendly and responsive, accommodating to our requests also. In the summer there are many insects, but one of the windows had an insect screen so we could still enjoy the breeze without getting bitten - this is the kind of attention to detail you can expect from this place! Extremely affordable for such a lovely apartment. Access to bus 150 (direct to Salzburg/ Bad Ischl) from the main road is convenient. As this property is located within Salzburg province, we had the guest mobility ticket for free public transport within Salzburg.

Pension Tannhof is only 100 metres from the shore of Lake Fuschl and the centre of Fuschl am See. Some rooms and apartments have a balcony. Free Wi-Fi is available. This 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor of the Tannhof has wonderful views towards the lake and the village. It was just perfect for our family of four, with ample space for sleeping, cooking, eating and relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed the big dining table for family meals and playing cards in the evening. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of wardrobe space, and it was great having two bathrooms and two toilets. The best thing about the Tannhof was its location, just a few minutes walk to the lake shore, restaurants, swimming pool and other facilities. We swam in Fuschlsee every day, enjoying a range of beaches - public and private. The small, dog-friendly, public beach on the northern shore, was a beautiful, secluded spot, flanked by reeds, where the water was still inviting even on a cool summer day due to its sheltered position facing south. We also enjoyed the boat ride across to the Schloss and walked a short distance to the nearby Hofer natural Lido at the far end of the lake, where the views back along the full length of the lake towards the Schafberg and other mountain peaks made an astoundingly beautiful backdrop for swimming. The Fuschl Schwimmbad also allowed us to enjoy the Fuschlsee, providing a gravel beach and sunbathing meadow with lots of tree-shade, as well as a water slide into the lake and a small outdoor pool, which is pleasantly heated. Free access to the swimming pool and its beach came free with the accommodation, a much appreciated perk as much of the Fuschlsee shore is privately owned and inaccessible. We couldn't have wished for a better self-catering holiday apartment, and we would return without hesitation!
