On that cold night, it felt so cozy inside, especially with the fireplace—it was the cherry on top. We could step outside to see the stars, crystal clear in the sky, then rush back into the warmth of our room because of the chill outside. Overall, it was the best. Hiking in Cradle and staying at the Highlander is the perfect combination.

The aparthotel also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We love to lie on the bed and watch the forest view. It's so peaceful. 10/10 for the view. Kitchen was clean and equipped with enough kitchen utensils, pan, pots and even a French press for coffee lovers. The bonus: I saw a wombat near the golf course every sunset throughout my stay and lots of wallabies near the cabins.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at this 3-star country house. It was very charming, unique and you felt like you had stepped back in time. We were greeted by the resident chicken Tuk Tuk and of course, the manager. The friendly manager brought us farm fresh eggs and an ample supply of breakfast food for our stay. The Coachman’s Cottage was in excellent shape for being almost 200 years old. It was the perfect, quiet and lovely stay for our last night in Tassie. Would have liked to stay longer to explore the area.
