The location was absolutely stunning with amazing views of the Arenal volcano and lake. We loved the various hiking trails, one even led to a water fall where you could swim, so bring your swim suits! We saw so much wild-life nearby on our walks including coyotes, toucans and monkeys. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved every meal and found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, wish we could have stayed longer!

Villas have a kitchenette and lounge. The standard and superior rooms are set in different areas of the property. It was absolutely stunning. The hot springs were endless and super clean and private! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. We felt so relaxed and well taken care of.

I was truly impressed by the hospitality of the reception staff — they were always ready to help with recommendations and reservations. The breakfast, served at a partner hotel just next door, was also incredibly delicious!

All of the meals were great... it did not hurt that the coffee served was excellent either

The farm stay has a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. We stayed at Finca Nueva for 2 days. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! ROOM: Apparently we booked the best room (the Dome) that I highly recommend. It wasn’t more expensive than other rooms. It’s basically a huge bungalow with its own secluded garden. The room was huge and the interior was very unique. Very clean and cozy. There was a little kitchenette outside the bungalow with a tea pot/coffee maker/fridge with complimentary home brewed kombucha and homemade herbal tea. PROPERTY: this was what amazed as the most. This eco-friendly hotel is located on a few acres of rainforest. Their property included: a farm and a garden where they grow veggies, herbs, fruits, cocoa beans, tea, coffee, ginger, vanilla beans and DOZENS of other species if plants and beautiful flowers, a bamboo tower, a pool and a few MILES of trails through the rainforest that are perfectly maintained. They also offer tours like chocolate, coffee, animals/birds-watching tour that are highly rated but unfortunately they were fully booked so we couldn’t go. Also, they had an amazing yoga pavilion right next to our bungalow that we used a lot. During our stay we saw a sloth, agouties, toucans, parrots on the property. FOOD: Farm to table. They don’t have a set menu. Every day they decide what seasonal food they’ll serve based on what’s growing on their farm. They also prioritize buying from local farmers. Literally everything is homegrown, homemade and tastes delicious: bread, milk, kefir, butter, tea, chocolate… During our stay both breakfast and dinner were buffet style. Most delicious and healthy meals we’ve had in Costa Rica!

Regardless of whether you are looking up into the secondary forest hills (planted by our hosts) to create safe passage for some of the creatures we share our planet with, or watching some of these amazing creatures engage with the ponds full of tilapia OR if you are marveling at the craftsmanship and palpable reverence of the tree(s) evidenced in the many wonderful stairs, benches, bannisters, light fixtures, ceilings...WOW and that is all without getting the the Chocolate! The data rich documentation of each batch may contribute to it being some of the best chocolate you may ever have, all delivered on a beautiful wooden pedestal or wrapped in a paper cone - it is a Belgium/Costa Rica fusion. The Tree Chocolate farm tour (recommended by our host) was the highlight of our entire trip. It was incredibly rejuvenating to spend time surrounded by so many humans who demonstrate a responsible, thoughtful, regenerative way of co-existing with our natural world. At the Tree Chocolate farm, our tour guide (trained by the farmer, his mentor) provided a fantastically fun and informative tour through a 45 year old permaculture farm where we drank and ate chocolate and coconuts and enjoyed the tire swing in the pouring rain. I wish I had bought so many more bags of the Tree Chocolate's dark roast coffee, it transcends coffee and reaches the chocolate realm with a super smooth aftertaste of deep dark chocolate - OMG

The mattresses are made of memory foam material and covered by 400 thread count linen. Beautiful location with friendly staff right next to downtown La Fortuna. We found our entire stay very comfortable and there was a nice terrace outside of our room.
