This hotel is housed in a traditional half-timbered building in central Ærøskøbing. It offers free private parking and rooms with a seating area and free Wi-Fi access. Clean, quiet, good breakfast. Friendly staff. I really appreciated that I was able to check in hours earlier than expected and then rent a bike for touring the area. The receptionist also provided me with maps of the island. The hotel is right in the center of town and convenient walking distance to everything. In addition to a shared bath, there are also sinks in the rooms.

It’s an old country house, it is clean but obviously not spotless. There are spider webs and a little dust around the house, it does not smell bad, just old. My allergies went crazy so bring medication. The roof is quite low so if you are over 6ft you will need to walk very carefully not to hit your head. All the appliances work very well, just remember to bring bed linen and towels and you will be fine. The location is perfect if you don’t want to be around crowded places. Overall, great place for the price.
