Right opposite the hotel is a nice onsen, minimart, and bakery. Large common space on the first floor with pantry, large dining table and many sofa seats. You can heat up your cood, make instant noodle, have meals, with free coffee and tea.

Situated in Toyooka, 2.8 km from Kinumaki Shrine, Kinosaki Onsen Hanakouji Saigetsu features accommodation with a hot spring bath and a public bath. The 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The staff were super friendly. The room was very nice and big considering how rooms are in Japan. Everything was very clean, and it was just all great!!

Located in Kobe, a few steps from Arima Toys and Automata Museum and 100 metres from Zempuku-ji Temple, Tabiyu Abrigo offers free WiFi and air conditioning. The 3-star aparthotel features city views and is 100 metres from Onsen-ji Temple. The property is non-smoking and is situated 200 metres from Nenbutsu-ji Temple. Everything was perfect. We came to early but the staff took our luggage to the room while we could discover the wonderful city of Arima. It was our best but too short stay in Japan. While the room is very traditional in appearance however the most important things were ver modern (toilet, shower etc.). Maybe the TV is redundant as everything is too interesting to sit and watch it.

城崎温泉 旅館 つばき乃 - Kinosaki Onsen Ryokan Tsubakino in Toyooka features 3-star accommodation with an open-air bath and a garden. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan has family rooms. We had an exceptional stay, and it was a highlight of our trip. Please see summary below: Location: Excellent. About a 6 minute walk from the KinosakiOnsen Station and close to the stream that runs through the town. Room: This is one of the most luxurious rooms we've stayed at and the best we would find in Kinosaki. It is as shown in the photos and has an attached private bathroom in addition to the tub. The room was spacious and clean. I am not sure if the water in the tub is spring water but we spent most of the time bathing in the private and public onsen. Check in was at 3pm. Private Onsen: There are one of two options to pick from at no extra cost, the micro bubble room and traditional room. Both are nice and clean. We decided to also pay to reserve a second private onsen for 45 minutes. In addition, there are male and female public baths at the Inn - depending on the time, you might be the only person in them. Public Onsen: Like all Ryokan in the area, you are given a pass that allows you access to all the public Onsen in the town. Yukata: We were given yukata in standard white and blue/black colours at no extra cost and also had the opportunity to pick a colourful Yukata from their selection. Meals: We are vegetarian and Tsubakino was very accomodating. We were served a set meal for dinner and breakfast - again, this was the nicest Japanese food we had during our trip. I have added a photo of the breakfast with this review, the dinner was much more elaborate and spanned multiple courses. Service: The service was excellent. We had forgotten some clothes in the closet, and the Inn promptly delivered it to our next hotel in Kyoto.

A 3-minute walk from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Station, Koyado Enn offers hot spring baths for private use, a café and a restaurant. Free WiFi is provided, and yukata robes are available at the reception. This is a non-smoking, adults-only ryokan. Lovely Japanese style room with tatami and futons. The hotel has two private baths if for some reason you don't want to visit the seven public onsens. Included breakfast and dinner were so full that we didn't really need to eat anything else throughout the day. The dinner is an exceptional course of Tajima beef you will spend a good hour on. Also there is a period of time when you can use a cafe at the first floor for free drinks. We were provided with a free unlimited pass to all onsens, towels, a yukata and geta. The hotel is located very close to the train station. The whole village is not very big anyway and all onsens are easily accessible by foot.

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Traditionally, onsens are segregated by gender. So if you are traveling with a partner of the opposite gender, you leave them at the entrance of the onsen and hang out with strangers in hot water. This property has private onsens that you can use whenever they are unoccupied, no gender restrictions. Why any traveler, except same sex partners, would prefer a public onsen is mystifying to me and my wife. Stay here and share the pleasure of an onsen with whomever you love. The snow crab dinner was also fantastic.

Our favorite stay in Japan, super affordable compared to other hotels in Kinosaki Onsen. Good variation for breakfast, room was spacious and clean, they made our bed everyday
