The staff were all amazing, super friendly, and there was free parking right in front of the hotel! Breakfast itself was a whole experience!! Delicious bread and croissants, a Japanese set with fantastic food, great coffee, fresh juices, and local teas! I could go on all day praising this hotel — it was truly incredible, and definitely one I’d love to repeat someday.

I was greeted warmly and given special attention to help me with my following day's plans to walk the Yamanobe Road. The Ryokan itself is perfectly situated close to Omiwa Shrine and the start of the journey. My tatami floor room had two parts, so it was not only spacious but beautifully and traditionally arranged with tremendous grace. The garden was right outside my room, immaculate and beautiful. I was treated to an excellent private hot spa bath in the evening, making it just the perfect stay.
