Having been to Izumo before and knowing it would not disappoint, I decided to take my family for another vacation in January. We stayed at Nipponia Izumo - Hirata Cotton Road for three nights. It is a former traditional sake brewery house converted into a kominka style hotel. Situated on a quiet historical sake and soy sauce business street, the hotel not only provided a unique home sweet home service but also amazing fine dining experience. Their in-house chef made each meal using local products to create feasts that delighted the senses. I highly recommend this hidden gem of an accommodation if you do visit Izumo.

The Centurion Hotel & Spa Classic Izumo bevindt zich in Izumo, op 6,1 km van Hamayama Park en 6,1 km van Masakigaoka Park. Very close to Izumoshi Station, so it is very easy catching a bus to Izumo Taisha for example. The room was spacious and clean, excellent for a one or two-night stay. The breakfast is excellent, restaurant quality, and there is also a wonderful, friendly little soba noodle place a couple of meters from the hotel entrance.

Hotel Route-Inn Hamada Ekimae is gelegen in Hamada, op 20 km van Gotsu City General Citizen Center Milky Way Hall en 47 km van Nima Sand Museum. I remember the location was near a train station which made it lively and interesting when we were looking for dinner. The staff were very helpful in helping us find a suitable restaurant. breakfast was good!
