It was pouring rain the day I arrived, so parked myself at the spa for 3 hours and had by far the best Ayurvedic treatments I had on my entire trip. Overall accommodations and spa were a luxurious experience that didn't break the bank.

It was perfect, our favorite accommodation of the whole trip.. we stayed in a magic treehouse for 3 of us and it was amazing. Food was great, pool was really fun and great location to sigiriya rock, elephant safari etc etc

The owner Sanjeeva and his team went above and beyond to make out stay enjoyable and were very helpful in helping us arranging transportation and activities when required. Rooms are very clean and beds confortable. The lounge and pool area are beautiful and quiet. Food is really nice. All in all, a little paradise to come back to after a hot day discovering the area!

The location is ideal for exploring the cultural and natural wonders of the area while still being a serene retreat. I highly recommend Gisban Wood Cabana & Hostel for anyone visiting Habarana. It offers incredible value for money, a welcoming environment, and an experience that is truly unforgettable.

Just the most wonderful setting for a relaxing time. What were the highlights? The food? Fresh made, local produce, superb. The staff? Attentive, friendly, welcoming. The surroundings? Appropriate, beautiful, unusual. The wildlife? Endlessly fascinating. And then Maulie, the proprietor…warm, informative and great fun. If you have a chance to stay here, take it!

As soon as we went to check in, we were greeted and offered fresh mango juice. All the staff were lovely and the rooms were really spacious and clean. The food was amazing and authentic Sri Lankan food. They were very generous in asking us preferences for each meal. The owner is very generous and offered to take my mom for a massage as well. Overall a very pleasant stay.

What truly made our stay special was Hetti, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed.
