A very hospitable host and his dog Maya took good care of us. Rooms were huge and cozy with very high loft ceilings, you cannot really see that from the photos on the website. Breakfasts were incredible and featured different sorts of fruit, passionfruit included! Also, staying in this property gives you a good discount on surfing lessons on the beach, so me and my cousin rode our first waves. Just perfect, I recommend this place with all my heart and will definitely come back. ❤

The real gem is Sisi himself, who has been a tour guide for 25+ years and will help you do anything you want to (but is also respectful if you just want to chill on the beach!)

Fuimos una familia de 5 y estuvimos muy bien, las habitaciones amplias, camas cómodas y baños muy limpios. Un desayuno abundante y buenísimo. Lo mejor la piscina y el jardín con unas vistas increíbles. Hicimos también una ruta en barca por el río que estuvo muy bien. Muy recomendable.

The hotel has good location in Bentota, it is a very beautiful and peaceful property and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner here, the food was brought to our room to be enjoyed on our terrace and it was very good. The rooms are also very nice and clean, and AC and internet worked very well.

We were staying here 11 days and we totally loved it! Hospitality of Mahesh, the owner is incredible! Every morning you can watch chipmunks while you are eating delicious breakfast. Cleanliness of your room is also stunning. I felt like home, thank you. Beach and shop close by.

El Village Headman's Bungalow, situado en un entorno tranquilo, es un bungalow de 100 años de edad que ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y baño privado. I had a wonderful experience at the VHB Bentota. Property is clean & has a fantastic old time charm. Room was clean, high quality & very comfortable. The bed was super comfy. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. The food was absolutely amazing & best meal I had while in VHB. I will always stay at this location when traveling to Bentota. I highly recommend this bungalow for anyone visiting downsouth Sri Lanka.
