The location is very quiet, within walking distance of the smaller lake and a 5-minute drive to Tissa lake. It is a good base to explore the area. I also booked 2 safari's with them. Everything was well-organised, from start to finish.

If we would have known this hotel is so great, we definitely would have planned more than the 2 nights! By far the best rooms and best service we have had in Sri Lanka. The owner runs the hotel himself and takes care of everything. Great breakfast and unbelievable dinner. There is no menu, instead the owner writes a new menu every day, depending whats good and fresh at the market. Unbelievable prices for the food. I paid less for the biggest and tastiest tuna steak I had in my life than I paid for a club sandwich in some other places in Sri Lanka. Great mattress, great pillows. Clean rooms. Hot water. AC works perfectly. The beach was almost empty at times. So this is a great place to relax, enjoy the sun and the beach. It is a bit away from all the hustle and the next city is a bit away, so don't go there, if you want to party. The hotel is right next to a bird sanctuary, so if you want to do a bird watching tour, this is great starting point.

The room was well equipped and very clean. The location was good- in a quiet area, close to the beach and to the main road that leads to the city centre, also there is a place to park a vehicle. The best part was the hospitality and the kindness from the hosts. Nadin and Asha are just wonderful! They prepared delicious food for us, gave us so many useful tips about our trip and even made us a Christmas surprise!!! Just amazing!
