The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at this 3-star hotel. This was the best hotel I stayed in Sri lanka. We booked 2 rooms and found out the whole villa is ours. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. The cleanness of the rooms, size of the room amazing, location in a peaceful quiet very beautiful place, close to the river. We missed the barbecue though. But teh terrace and balcony are worth to try it.

They pepper dinner for us, breakfast box which we took on safari and gave us info about the best way/bus connection to next destination. Check out at 13:00 so after the safari we had time to take a shower. They also offered a safari tour to Yala NP but we had already agreed elsewhere.

Free private parking is available on site. Friendly and helpful staff, good location for Safari and the rooms/ chalet was also great! The swimming pool was clean and great for a late night dip! The hotel owner arranged our safari and our tour guide was brilliant. The hotel restaurant was fantastic too and reasonably priced…breakfast was tasty and our evening meal was also very authentic! Definitely recommend, a hidden gem!

A nice hotel, very clean, super friendly staff and owner, very good service, ... I loved the breakfast and dinner. The location is very quiet, within walking distance of the smaller lake and a 5-minute drive to Tissa lake. It is a good base to explore the area. I also booked 2 safari's with them. Everything was well-organised, from start to finish.

Awesome place for all who love nature and calmness! It's a fruit/chicken farm located on a lake shore. We stayed in detached cottage, and it was spacious and comfortable.

Despite the late hour, the host kindly prepared dinner for me at 11:30 pm and was very attentive. The meal was delicious, enough for two people, and had the perfect level of spice. During my stay, I had a knee injury, and the host and his family were extremely helpful. They carried my bag to my room and even recommended good ointments for my injury. The host also dropped me off at the bus stand free of charge. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to family and friends.

Guests can relax on the terrace. We had an absolutely amazing stay at Gaga Bees Yala! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and outstanding hospitality. The place itself is beautiful—peaceful surroundings, tastefully designed, and perfect for a relaxing getaway close to nature. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. One highlight was how they customized our dinner menu to suit my wife's cravings—something that truly made our stay extra special. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife, two incredibly humble and kind people who genuinely care about their guests' experience. The Yala safari they arranged for us was fairly priced—much better than other quotes we had—and it was one of the best parts of our trip. Everything was well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend Gaga Bees Yala to anyone looking for comfort, authenticity, and outstanding service near Yala National Park. We’ll definitely be back!
