It’s brand new, super clean (which was really important to me), and just overall a great place to stay. It’s not right on the main street, but it’s only a short walk from everything and if you’ve got a scooter, it’s perfect! The girls who work at the hotel and even their taxi driver are the nicest!

Located 1.2 km from Shark Bay and 1.3 km from Mae Haad Pier, Aukotan Place offers comfortable rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Great location, great staff, well worth the price, I will be back!

The pool is even better than it looks in the photos. We only stayed one night but really loved it. Attached to the resort (though I don’t think it’s officially part of it) there’s a lovely little restaurant. Shark Bay and the pier are just a few minutes away by scooter (the pier is even walkable). Compared to other hillside options, this location is definitely preferable, as you avoid steep, winding, and potentially dangerous roads. Overall, great value for money.
