We had such a lovely stay at Mountain Pastures Game Lodge! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, which made us feel right at home. The apartment was absolutely perfect – beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and we enjoyed a wonderful night’s rest on very complete beds. It was a very cold winter’s day, but we kept cozy with a crackling fire in the fireplace and the added comfort of electric blankets that made our beds wonderfully warm. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touch of finding fresh milk and some delicious rusks waiting for us in the kitchen. One of the highlights was spending time in the guest lounge, where we were able to chat and get to know other guests – such a lovely touch that made the experience feel personal and homely. All in all, it was a memorable stay in a beautiful setting, and we would gladly recommend Mountain Pastures Game Lodge to anyone looking for a welcoming and peaceful getaway.

The Lord Milner Hotel is situated in the historic village of Matjiesfontein in the Karoo region, just of the N1 highway. This Victorian style hotel features a garden and restaurant.

The rooms at the hotel combine old world charm and modern conveniences. The hotel also has budget rooms at the Matjies Motel, situated within the hotels gardens. Its our 5th trip to Matjiesfontien,and never disappoints Beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere,and the whole historic village is always with just another photo! Love the lord Milner!

Schulteheim Hotel is located in the town centre of Uniondale, Opposite the Historical Dutch Reformed Church designed in 1884 by Famous Carl Otto Hager. The Hotel is walking distance to nearby Restaurants and Coffee Shops and we offer breakfast on premises. Had a very comfortable stay over. Staff friendly, rooms well equipped and clean. Uncluded breakfast was excellent!

This 3-star guest house offers room service and a housekeeping service. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Smooth check in process and very welcoming. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

Extras include satellite channels. Beautiful setting. Peaceful and quiet. Easy check in. Room was clean and mattress was firm. Enjoyed the small bar. We also really enjoyed visiting with the owners and staff. A great alternative to staying in the town, and an excellent value. Also, an earlier review mentioned the road: we found the road in to be in great condition (our compact 2 wheel drive car had no issues at all).

The individually decorated rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV and tea-and-coffee making facilities. On site restaurant offers good quality at reasonable prices. Room was clean and comfortable with all basic amenities. The location is excellent for over-nighting on a trip to Cape Town
