From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, which made us feel right at home. The apartment was absolutely perfect – beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and we enjoyed a wonderful night’s rest on very complete beds. It was a very cold winter’s day, but we kept cozy with a crackling fire in the fireplace and the added comfort of electric blankets that made our beds wonderfully warm. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touch of finding fresh milk and some delicious rusks waiting for us in the kitchen. One of the highlights was spending time in the guest lounge, where we were able to chat and get to know other guests – such a lovely touch that made the experience feel personal and homely. All in all, it was a memorable stay in a beautiful setting, and we would gladly recommend Mountain Pastures Game Lodge to anyone looking for a welcoming and peaceful getaway.

The Lord Milner Hotel is situated in the historic village of Matjiesfontein in the Karoo region, just of the N1 highway. This Victorian style hotel features a garden and restaurant. We loved this place. An historic building from 1899, this was an amazing experience. The grounds were amazing, as was the incrtedible swimming pool. We loved the bar next door, as well as the impressive breakfast. Our dinner was exceptional, and our server, Linda, was amazing. We loved the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The check in experience was very welcoming. The museum across the street, South Africa's largest privately owned museum, was a splendid surprise. We walked into the nearby village, and were met by friendly, smiling people who also made us feel welcomed.

Schulteheim Hotel is located in the town centre of Uniondale, Opposite the Historical Dutch Reformed Church designed in 1884 by Famous Carl Otto Hager. Had a very comfortable stay over. Staff friendly, rooms well equipped and clean. Uncluded breakfast was excellent!

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Olive Grove Guest Farm is located in Beaufort West. Free WiFi access is available in this farm stay. We stayed three nights in a chalet with our toddler and had a wonderful stay. Very authentic and warm-hearted!
