We hit on a storm so glad of a sturdy vehicle for the drive. That said, 10/10 on all fronts for this hidden gem. Food was great, plentiful and homely. Truly felt like we have been invited into a lovely little community and made to feel very welcome Fond memories- the smell and sound of the ocean, exploring the rugged coastline and deserted beaches, taking an outdoor shower overlooking the ocean, watching whales and dolphins play and the night sky, oh boy the night sky! If you're after peace and quiet with unpretentious people with a community feel this is the spot for you. If you want the frills, glamour and luxury common to most all inclusive resorts this is probably not the place for you

The Spotted Grunter Resort offers a barbecue. You can play darts at this 3-star resort, and the area is popular for hiking and fishing. My stay at The Spotted Grunter Resort was very pleasant. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful mountain views and the tranquil river setting. The restaurant menu was a definite highlight, offering a nice variety of options, and the food itself was consistently good. The rooms were comfy and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I had booked self-catering and unfortunately had to depart early for my flight, missing breakfast, but overall, it was a very positive experience.
