I don't normally ever give 10 ratings, but this location is worthe breaking the rule. If you are looking for all mod cons this might not be the perfect place for you but if you are in search of charming authentic and romantic (in all meanings of the word) stay in the heart of Sardinina you won't find better! In the middle of the charming village of Urzulei, with perfect acces to hiking in some of the most execptional places in Sardinia, this beautifully restored cottage has all the practicallities you might need (inc parking and air con). GB is the host with the most! With a personal welcome, available help with the area, and even a properly stocked kitchen for at least a meal or two, hospitality rarely reaches this level of personal attention and care!

The property was extremely clean. The facilities were fantastic and the host was very friendly and accommodating. The location was great. Although there is an uphill walk when returning from Cala Gonone, it helped us get our steps in and was pretty easy by the end of our stay. There is a train that runs along the road that stops just outside the accommodation. Although we didn’t make use of this, it would be really convenient for those who wouldn’t want to walk from the apartment to the sea front and back.

- nice size and arrangement of the rooms of the apartment in the second floor - groceries/ restaurants in closest reach but still quiet neighborhood (a bit to the fact that a third of the houses are abandoned) - many appliances available (washing machine, freezer, bialetti, …) but some basic stuff missing

Very friendly hosts which waited for me at the arranged time to show me around and give me the property keys (and some delicious Easter cookies). The house is located in the countryside i.e. a car is really necessary to go there. Perfect silence and peace. The interior is very new and perfectly clean. Kitchen and bathroom are both to a very high standard. Coffee capsules have been offered for free. There is a large terrace to sit outside and enjoy the sunset as it is directed to the west. Plenty of space with three tables and 6 chairs outside. Guests will have all the house and the large olive tree terrain for themselves i.e. lots of freedom. The only permanent inhabitant there is a friendly little cat which is always on the lookout for a delicious extra bite. The next town is Oliena which offers shopping possibilities for the food needed to prepare in the modern kitchen. Of course all cooking equipment is also there. All looks very new and shiny. The location of the house makes it easy to come to the starting points of the spectacular mountains which are behind Oliena, spectacular views from the top! If you look for a peaceful and spacy accomodation (and have a car) that is the place!
