We had an amazing stay at this house! The traditional Japanese style is beautifully preserved, while the modern amenities make it incredibly comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere, spotless cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities (great kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom) made our stay perfect. A perfect blend of authenticity and modern comfort. Would definitely come back!

I highly recommend this property. It ticks so many boxes I’ll probably miss a few but here’s some to start with; - location next to a craft brewery and a few minutes walk to the Hakone Outdoor Museum - crossroads location at 2 bus stops heading to Lake Ashi and Gora - easy walk from Chokokunomori Station - clean, modern high tech house with brilliant amenities and large kitchen - super comfortable 2 bedroom - parents upstairs and 2 teens downstairs on tatami…but capacity for 4 kids - off-street parking if arriving by car In summary….excellent!

    This is a beautiful house up on the hill, surrounded by trees, overlooking the lake. It is very cozy and has a luxurious bath. I didn't sleep in the western style beds, but my daughter slept well. The kitchen looked very nice and well-equipped. I could very well imagine staying there for several days. We made reservations on very short notice (because our other option didn't suffice when we arrived in the village) and were able to move in an hour later.
