The room is surprisingly spacious, the view is great, everything is very comfortable. The hosts were amazing, thanks to their recommendations we got to see some beautiful places around Ella, like Nil Diya Pokuna. The location is close to some hiking trails like Little Adam's Peak, and has a couple of very nice restaurants. 30 minute walk to the Ella city center, or a 5 minute tuktuk ride.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had an excellent stay that exceeded our expectations. The chalet was clean. The host family was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Also wifi was the strongest. The night in the jungle is magical, you can watch the fireflies from the upper floor. The location was good, 20 min. to the city along the tracks. The family also helped us to rent a scooter for a reasonable price. We highly recommend to those who want to escape chaos of the city.

Everything was amazing, the view was unbelievable and the staff were all so lovely. Namal was so helpful and was there for anything we needed during our stay. Would recommend walaa kulu to everyone! Breakfast in particular was outstanding. Thank you again for having us!

Amazing place, thanks to Lal property manager for all the help and for the exceptional service highly recommended, its close to Ella but away from too many tourists. There is a tv with English movies, washing machine and cooking facilities we had a great time and would stay again, thanks Lal!
