Peninsula Cottage bevindt zich in Garrabost, op 17 km van Museum Nan Eilean, in een omgeving waar je kunt fietsen. This is an adorable little cottage with modern furnishings. Gemma left coffee and milk and a pound cake - a thoughtful touch. We did stop at a Tesco for dinner and breakfast items. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cottage has some nice views as well.

The view of the ocean is an absolute delight. I would recommend this property and the Isle of Lewis as a place to reset in beautiful surroundings. The ferry trip from Ullappool to Stornoway was also an additional bonus to our holiday. The weather on the island is changeable, so please always have padded jackets and rain coats.

Location is very scenic and peaceful yet near enough to local amenities. The house itself was exceptionally clean, has great facilities and is of a high standard. My family really enjoyed our stay here. The host was very helpful. Highly recommended.

Taigh Tuaram bevindt zich in Carloway en biedt gratis WiFi en uitzicht op de tuin. EVERYTHING! Greeted by Capt. Murdo, we were immediately made to feel at home. Everything we thought we needed was already here. And the location couldn’t be beat. We looked out the front window and saw Doune Broch just steps from our door. We didn’t climb it once we climbed it twice because it was just so breathtaking. The black houses, alpacas, the standing stones, everything was just around the corner. It was brilliant. I have to say it’s the only vacation stay I’ve ever had where I was truly sad to leave. Being from America , this is the other side of the world and it’s a side I wish I could stay on. Thank you to Captain Murdo and for anyone considering staying on the Island of Lewis, if you’re lucky enough to find this available, grab it you’ll never be happier with any place you’ve ever stayed. Plus, there is a great gift shop a block down where Angus has some great gifts from the area at super prices.

The place is marvelous itself. House is spacious and very convenient. Extremely well equipped, cozy. There was actually nothing we would not love there. Garden, where otter came through on its way to the sea. Elk came to say Hi. Seals nearby. And in the evening, fireplace with live fire and peaceful view over the bay. Fits well two families. Both having their own privacy, but plenty of space to share as well. All that in the heart of lovely Harris countryside. Simply one of the nicest and the most pleasant places we visited yet.
