Both drivers had good English and were reasonably priced. Thank you very much to Dolvi (staff at Ara) for driving us and being so patient with the construction on the way and driving us to dinner that evening. - Large, spacious and clean room. - Beautiful surrounding gardens. The properties back on to a bamboo forest and river. - Simple and nice breakfast. We were served fresh avocado which came from the tree on-site. - Recommend to visit the spider web rice fields which are close by.

We all love our villa with private pool! Everything was exceptional starting from the staff, the nature and the Villa itself! The location is a bit far if you consider day trips to Labuan bajo and day trips to Komodo Island but totally worth it! I wished to stay one more day just to enjoy our villa and the surrounding village Mbeliling!

Nos trató estupendamente. La cena con la familia fue una grata experiencia, nos sentimos en familia. El desayuno riquísimo. No tiene agua caliente, pero Ernesta nos calentó unos cubos para poder ducharnos. La habitación estaba limpísima, aunque la cama era bastante ruidosa.

Stunning views, amazing staff, beautiful garden, best breakfast I’ve had in Bajo, and incredible pool. This place is so well decorated and laid out. We stayed in Villa Dua (2nd Villa which there are 2 connected and right next to each other but otherwise private). Villa 1 sleeps more but the rooms are smaller and living space is smaller because it has another bedroom. The open air style living area and kitchen are STUNNING. This is hands down the best place to stay in Bajo if you want privacy, amenities, and an amazing breakfast. It felt like a 5 star hotel for sure.

Puri Ma'u Beach & Bungalows tiene vistas al mar y está en Boba. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de habitaciones, bar, jardín, terraza y barbacoa. The owner, Moses, completely took care of us from a to z. He organised delicious meals for us every day and went out of his way to organise the activities we wanted to do. He took us to the local market, to his other hotel in on badjawa, to the hot springs, a local waterfall and more! Rarely have we been so welcomed anywhere. He is completely fluent in English and was patient with our questions about the local area and people. Thank you Moses! The hotel is off the beaten tourist path and you are staying in a real local Floresian village. The locals are so friendly! The location on the beachfront is amazing too and you can snorkel straight off the beach. We made a last minute decision to stay here instead of in Badjawa and we didn't regret it for a second. Much nicer to be in the countryside in the calm where you can do everything that you can do from the town anyway. We didn't want to leave!
