I very much enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 nights before my jungle trek and 1 night after. I booked the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with them as well. I actually think that is the only way you can stay at their guesthouse, so they ensure that their trekking clients have accommodation. Communication with the manager, Dedycool was faultless, from the time i made my initial inquiry to when the driver picked me up at the airport. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in 5 months of travel, and the AC did the job. The staff could not have been more welcoming, both upon arrival and every time I came for a meal or returned from an outing. The location outside of the village ensured a peaceful nights sleep. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the center, allowing me to see people going about their daily lives. The jungle trek was phenomenal in every way. Both guides, Edwin and Janet, were professional and got excited when we saw orangutans (we saw 7). The food both at the guesthouse and on the trek was very tasty. The trekking was challenging but not overly so. It was fun scrambling up hillsides using vines and roots as foot and hand holds. The camping was much more comfortable than I expected. The camping mats were thick, and the lightweight sleeping bag was just right for the temperature. The rafting back to the village was super fun and a great way to end the 2 days in the jungle. I'm very pleased with my decision to book through Sumatra Orangutans Treks.

The trek was well organized, with nice breaks and even a delicious meal in the heart of the jungle. A truly authentic immersion in nature — I highly recommend it to all wildlife and adventure lovers

Magpie homestay & jungle trekking especially for guest trekking with us está en Bukit Lawang y dispone de wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y restaurante. This was by far our best stay during our whole trip in Indonesia. The bungalows were both very comfortable, we stayed in one before and the other one after the jungle tour. The place is beautifully decorated with a lot of plants and animals to see in the garden. The owner was super friendly and helped us to arrange the 3-day jungle tour, a village tour, transportation to and from Bukit Lawang, the food, and she even gave us medicine when we were ill. There is a restaurant on the property, at which you can order delicious food any hour. Such a lovely stay, this made our time in Bukit Lawang unforgettable! Thank you so much for everything!
