He met us at the station, took my son & his family to their lodging, let us off and took our luggage with him. We spent the afternoon sightseeing and having lunch. We called him about 3-4 hours later when we were back at the station and told him we were going to pick up some things at the nearby supermarket before we came to the Yurt. He picked us up at the Supermarket and brought us to the Yurt where he helped us unloaded our luggage from his van and showed us how to get into the Yurt. No keys to deal with. Simple Combo lock. Sato-san begins communicating with you a few days before your arrival using Whatsapp. If you don't have it he uses e-mail which can lag behind. So, if you can set that up ahead of time, communications may go better for you.

This lovely and immaculate guest home right across from the Nikko's World Heritage site is not to be missed. Our host Syuji-san went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially with a heated kotatsu table on chilly nights and great restaurant recommendations. The location could not be better and bus access from the JR Nikko station is very manageable.

Mr Kotobukisou is very responsive host whose always help me from the booking moment until my arrival. It was just as simple as clicking numbers on the lock and get the access card. So Simple It was loaded with everything that I need.. Literally everything. If you wanna stay there all day, its fine, cause you will fine anything you need in that house, including disposable brushes, cotton bud, wet tissue, spoon, fork, chopsticks, coffee, hojicha, green tea, sugar.. like .. everything. even mr Kotobukisou prepared any detergent and tools for wash our clothes. Its really amazing. They have 2 bathroom, a cute tea pot (which is maybe used for tea ceremonial), TV, futon, extra bedding, AC, hangers, even they provide portable wifi. Mr Kotobukisou and family lives in the same building so they help me a lot when I was confused how to use washing machine and shower spray. Surrounding we can find small cafe (western) and also local restaurant. We tried a small bake house called Adaru Bake. Their muffins so delicious. and there are small souvenir shops around it. There are two shrines as I recalled around it. Very near Sendagi Station and few minutes walk to Lawson Since our flight back home was on noon, we spent all morning just walking around Mr Kotobukisou place.. Its so relaxing ..
