Towels and bed linen are available in the holiday home. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. It's absolutely one of the coolest places to stay in Nara. Directly off the main street leading to Nara Park, and super close to JR Nara Station. Its facilities are super up to date, but you can feel the age of the house in a good way. We had also left an item accidentally after checkout and the host did his absolute best, including going out of his way to get it back to us. Overall awesome experience.

This is an amazing property and we loved staying in a traditional Japanese townhouse, in a quiet part of town. I was travelling with my husband and 3 adult children in early April. The location is great for walking into Nara (10-15 mins). We arrived in the evening and it was lovely that our host had put the heating on for us and it was easy to retrieve the keys from the key safe. It was a bonus to find there are 2 toilets and 2 hand washing basins in the property. We all agreed that the shower is the most powerful shower we have ever come across - amazing. All the beds were large doubles and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and our host had left lots of extra towels for us (far more than we chose to use). We liked that the bedrooms could also be heated in the evening, if needed. I used the washing machine and the instructions in English were helpful. There were lots of hanging rails to dry clothes on. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than we needed to reheat meals from the convenience store or to make snacks. For the rest of our stay in Japan we stayed in aparthotels in family suites. I was great to have so much room to spread out in for a few days. I highly recommend this property.

Everything is so well thought out - blending traditional design with modern technology and finishes. You can even fill the bath up from another room. It is large for two people but still manages to feel homely and intimate. We felt we could live here.

This recently renovated holiday home is located 23 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium and 24 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church. The property is non-smoking and is set 24 km from Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. I really cant praise the place enough. The house itself was charming and serene, with two beautful courtyards and balconies, as well as a sort of private, spacious studio on the second floor. There was a tatami room and a living room with a kotatsu so it was very cosy in the evenings. The house was so well equipped, with every comfort, luxury and convenience, and generous gifts of Nara strawberries, sweets and hot drinks. It was impeccably clean and well organised with gorgeous displays of real lilies and seasonal flowers in the tokonoma. The location was perfect, a short and very interesting walk from Kintetsu Nara station, and 30 seconds from the Daibtsu Ike. It was so ideal a location, I don't imagine I will ever be as lucky finding a holiday home as enjoyable.

We were very happy with our stay at Mikasa Ryokan. Our Japanese-style mansion was very nice and clean, and the food offered a uniquely interesting experience. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. It was a pleasant stay
Absolutely beautiful house in a beautiful village, couldn’t have asked for more! The warm welcome from the hosts really made you feel all the love and care put into this house. So grateful to have stayed here, I will definitely come back again!
Location was a great experience of trees hillside views small village nestled in a valley
Beautiful place line from a Ghibli movie. Lovely owners and 2 funny dogs. My son was happy to play with them. If you come by car pls park on the big free parking Before entering Ikoma village. Then walk 3 min ( by stairs) to the Ryokan.
A beautiful hotel, probably the best room we stayed in Japan! Rooms are equipped with all the luxuries you can think; massage chair, jacuzzi, king size bed, massager, light settings, even a gambling machine, and so spacious! Whether you want to try the Love Hotel experience in Japan, or are just looking for a luxury stay for an affordable price, stay here! Staff were also very friendly and the 24hr room service was divine! They have a large menu and delicious food. This place is perfect for couples but we went as friends and had a great time.
We absolutely loved this luxury ryokan in Nara. It was a perfect ending to our 2-week trip in Japan, especially after visiting the big cities prior to our stay at Sarusawaike Yoshida. The staff was so welcoming and helpful! We really enjoyed the private baths, the roof-top lounge, and the wonderful location of the hotel. Highly recommended!
LOVED the complimentary amenities, which made our stay seem more luxurious - onsen, half bowl of ramen, yukatas, frozen popsicles, and cantaloupe jello in our room's fridge. The room was comfortable and hotel staff were friendly. Great location and the standing bar on the adjacent road was a great spot for a drink, foood, and good vibes.
Great stay for hiking. Small but very comfortable rooms. Strongly recommend booking dinner and breakfast as not much in the village and the food is very good. Coffee was excellent. The owner is friendly and helpful. Parking is available and a short walk from the Post Inn. I highly recommend Post Inn. Washing machine and dryer were very useful to catch up on hiking washing.
Wonderful view across the valley. There were lots of great spaces to relax and hang out. The cabins are beautifully done in a traditional style. The kitchen was fully kitted out with everything you need to grill, bbq, hotpot or whatever you like to cook. Yoshino was a great base to explore local shrines, hiking paths, sake breweries and villages. Our host was exceptional in proving recommendations about the local area and even helped us make a booking for Uda’s amazing soba restaurant. Thank you for helping us make the most of our stay!
