And the owner is so amazing, and very kind!

Great stay a bit outside of Tromsø! Renate and her husband are great hosts and it was super easy to communicate with them. The house is really good. It appears to have been refurbished (as least parts of it) but it is still a cosy traditional norwegian cottage by the mountains. The view from the house is incredible with the fjords. And if you're looking for a place to spot northern lights, this is the place to be. As it is outside of town (~25min by car), there are not many lights in the surrounding, so we could literally see the northern lights from the windows, from the balcony, and if you want a spot that is 100% dark, its just walking west for five minutes. I strongly recommend this place!

The villa’s location is truly exceptional — tucked away at the end of a serene fjord, it offers total privacy and a breathtaking terrace. The reality far surpasses the photos. Communication with the host was flawless. Even before our arrival, we received detailed information about where to shop, store hours, how to access the property — everything was perfectly organized. One of the highlights of our stay was the boat trip with the owner. He took us out on the sea, we went fishing together, and he even prepared a delicious meal for us right on the boat. He also recommended local places to eat — we ended up having the best fish soup in all of Tromsø. We wholeheartedly recommend this place. If you’re planning a trip to Tromsø, skip staying in the city. Choose Tromvik instead — just like we did — and experience the stunning views, the peaceful atmosphere, and the comfort this place has to offer.

Beautiful, spacious, well-appointed home located on a scenic fjord only 1/2 hour from the airport. Espen and family were exceptional hosts. Excellent views from all the large windows. The kitchen is the best most complete and modern kitchen I have ever been in with every device and appliance imaginable. My friends all raved about how this adventure exceeded their expectations. Even the weather cooperated.

It was the perfect location for relaxing and watching the northern lights! We saw them all three nights we were there which was magical. Katil met us at check in and helped carry our bags which was very welcomed. He provided great tips for things to do in the area and sent through links. The house itself is fantastic and exactly what we wanted. It’s small, but was good for the 3 of us. It has 4 rooms but two are very small, so I wouldn’t recommend a large family stay there and expect to not be on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, crockery etc, only thing missing was a toaster (maybe I just couldn’t find it!!), but it was all good! Beds were great and we were super appreciative of the cot and high chair for our daughter! Makes life a lot easier! Thanks so much for having us! I’d 100% stay again, and hopefully we make it back to Tromso so we can!
