A vibrant Costa Brava resort at the foot of mountains, Lloret de Mar boasts fabulous beaches and plenty to do for all ages. Carrer de Sant Pere leading inland from the beach has lots of international brand shops and exclusive jewellers. The town also has excellent nightlife, with a wealth of restaurants, bars and one of the Costa Brava’s biggest casinos.
For a spot of culture, the Verdaguer Centre houses relics from the Iberian settlement of Puig de Castellet dating to 250 BC.
Just north is Water World, one of Europe’s biggest waterparks, while offshore watersports include diving, snorkelling and sea kayaking. Lloret de Mar also offers karting and a few golf courses.
In the town centre are Booking.com’s selection of guest houses, apartments and hotels with pools, while high-rise Lloret de Mar hotels face the town’s 2 beaches – Fenals and Lloret. The latter has a long, tree-lined promenade ending at one of the craggy coves typical of this coastline. The walk up to the cliffs is worth it for the views over the town and Mediterranean Sea.
As Lloret de Mar is only around 30 minutes’ drive from Girona Airport, it’s not long before you can dip your toes in.
Lloret de Mar was a lovely place but as we stayed at the end...
Lloret de Mar was a lovely place but as we stayed at the end of April the water park was not open , the weather wasn’t great for days on the beach either, even if the weather was good the sand on the beach was very gritty so it made it very painful to walk on. We went as a couple in our early 50’s , we were unable to find entertainment at night so would have been worse with children, it’s definitely a place for younger ones to party at night

The small town surely has its own charm for certain groups of people, but probably not for families with small children, the beach is not clean, the sand is too rough for kids to play with, and the waves are too strong for swimming, which are very disappointing for my toddler. We did enjoy the hiking path along the coastline though, which was unexpected in my trip planning.

Lloret seems to be quite a sleepy seaside town with not much going on except the beach, but that was fine as that was all we wanted. There were lots of pubs and nightclubs around but 99% seemed to be closed. Again, this was great for us as we dislike that kind of thing! If you want to go for a jog on the beach, or a coastal walk or simply sit on the balcony and be mesmerised by the constantly changing sea view, this place is for you. I had hoped that I would find more Catalan speakers, as I am learning this language. All the shops and signposts are in Catalan, but most people speak Castillian Spanish.
A wonderfully relaxing winter sun holiday for those who want to escape Christmas capitalist overkill.

Very busy shops. Streets are really dirty and smelly!
Very busy shops. Streets are really dirty and smelly! Smell like urine and drains.
We also got lost ALOT and ended up walking in dodgy back streets. No signage and constantly on Google maps.
Highlight of the trip was a fantastic steak house down the main high street.
Drinks not as cheap as you would imagine for Spain!

Hotel Roger De Flor is by my opinion the best hotel to stay in Llore de Mar because we had one of the best hollydays ever
The hotel has a great location close to the beach and some of the main areas of the city. Amenities are very comfortable and prices for beverages in the hotel are great too.
Breakfast is plenty of options and food is super fresh. We also decided to have dinner one night and it was delicious.
I forgot my Airpods in my room and the staff promptly helped me to ship back to my house in Czech Republic.
Would definitely stay another time if visiting Lloret de mar.
Good location, friendly staff. Housekeeping staff were excellent and friendly. Pool was super clean. previous reviews mentioned guests leaving towels on loungers all day. We didn’t find this at all and it was peak season. We had all inclusive and food was good and plentifully. The restaurant staff including the chefs were always smiling and polite.
Rooms were basic but beds were comfortable and was all clean and functional.
The staff is very friendly. The man who works in the lobby is very calm and gives good advice on what to do in the area or where to park the car. Also the cleaningladys are very friendly. They are all overqualified for this hotel to be honest. They made my stay perect. The location is perfect if you have a car/bike. Not nearby the noise in the centre, so you can sleep good at night. The beds are good.
really comfortable beds , room cleaned everyday , friendly staff , lovely buffet breakfast & even though we didn’t have dinner included in our package we had dinner 3 of our 5 nites stay beautiful selection of buffet to select from very tasty .
Fantastic view from sea view room with balcony. so happy I picked it as weather was poor but Hotel Miramar made up for that we enjoyed our stay !
This hotel is an easy six-minute walk from the beach in a more quiet, local area with some good restaurants (try the wine bar across the street!) and quiet nights (the discos are six or seven blocks away). The hotel pool is clean and there were lots of sun chairs. My room was very clean, hot water was great and the AC worked well. The staff are very friendly and kind.
The location could not be better, right in the best part of town, first line on the beachfront. Loads of restaurants to choose from and great advice from the owners of the hotel of where to go.
The owners themselves are great, and I would personally like to thank them for their hospitality.
The room we had was perfect and very comfortable.
Great value for the money.
Excellent location in Lloret de Mar. Was worried that there would be alot of noise at night as the hotel is located on a busy street but there was none at all. Breakfast was delicious and included a wide variety of options. Had lunch there too and it was delicious. Would highly recommend booking a superior room to avail of the rooftop pool area, it is amazing!
Definitely not a 4 star hotel...
Paid 600€ for a week and upgraded room. Fridge in room didn't work. Keycard failed 4 time so have to keep getting it reset.. The outdoor pool was located in another hotel opposite. Friendly staff... way overpriced.
Fried paid half for his hotel opposite beach and was far superior. Airton very poor too
Overall bad experience and the only good things were comfortable beds, great location & good selection of food at breakfast although long queues for the only 2 coffee machines serving more than 200 rooms! The service was bad & terrible value for money, not what we expected for a 4 star hotel. It was more like a 2 star hotel.
All the staff were very helpful and always friendly.
The room was very modern and had a lovely balcony with sun throughout the day.
Rooftop pool was an added luxury with the rooftop bar.
Food excellent we paid for all inclusive food and had options for every appetite, especially as the rate was so good.
Fantastic sweeping views of the coast, every detail throughout the hotel thought through from arrival goodies and water to decor to room details. We loved the beachside chairs and pool deck, breakfast at the hotel was fantastic and the bed and room were very comfortable
Very friendly staff. I always appreciate when people patiently keep speaking with me in Spanish when I try to practise it :D
The hotel is just close to everything, especially to the beach.
Great breakfast, but I wish there were some changes in menu day to day.
Beautiful hotel in a relaxed area. The beach is 5 minutes walking. City center is a bit far away (walking), but I enjoy being in a quiet area. There are good restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast was great! Comfortable beds. Would definitely come back.
Location was great on the beach with sea view. Staff was friendly. Marckets, bars, shops is very closely. In the apartment was everything what is necessary for living. Price was very normal too.
