We used Hilversum as a base to visit relatives throughout...
We used Hilversum as a base to visit relatives throughout the country. The accommodations are half the price of the Holiday Inn at the train station in Amsterdam with a much bigger suite and a good kitchen. We rented a car at the airport which worked out well. There was free parking everywhere outside Amsterdam. Hilversum is filled with good restaurants and is a beautiful smaller city.

I'm my booking I asked for a single double bed but the hotel told me booking.com did not inform then so I had 2 single bed which I did not like . So I dad to downgrade my room to get a bed that I like without any refund.

Hilversum is a small and cozy city next to Utrecht. It is very calm even though it has a big variety of restaurants, bars, cafés. Also it has a mall with brands like Primark, Zara, H&M and a big cinema close by.

Lots of restaurants and shops.
Lots of restaurants and shops. Good location for travel to Amsterdam. Only 20 mins on the train. Could do with more of the restaurants having their menus with English translation as this caused us a few problems .looking forward to going back

It was a satisfying breakfast for us considering that we came from an Asian country where rice is common for meals. The person in charge was very jolly and the staff were all warm and receptive. The apartment was a great location for our needs with everything we needed. We didn't end up using the kitchenette though.

Unlimited coffee on the room is a very nice plus. With a supermarket around the corner the fact that any nearby restaurant was closed due to lockdown was not an issue.

Their restaurant serves great food and the breakfast is top notch.
