2nd visit for us. Daughter & I came last year & the location was perfect for the event we were attending. The rooms are nice & clean & the staff super helpful. The thing that’s especially good is the electric car charging as coming from Bristol it was great to recharge overnight for the return journey. Definitely would stay again has a great vibe about the place.

Seemed like a nice town, plenty of bars and restaurants, including a rather upmarket Wetherspoons !
Be careful if you park in the large council car park, behind the Main Street. I parked overnight, and got a fine the next day. Instructions misleading. I am appealing !

The location in a quiet street, yet right in the centre of Hertford , is perfect.
Just a few minutes walk from lovely cafes , The Old Barge pub by the canal and the Saturday market, and a few minutes to long walks along the river.

Parking is terrible, I paid on payonphone app for the multi story car park and it was a nightmare. Still have to display ticket even when free! We travelled into London with friends who live in Hertford to see a show. Nice easy commute.
charming , cozy hotel with a nice updated room and in a great location . The lounge bar and dining room we’re comfortable & the food in the restaurant was delicious! we didn’t use the patio area due to cold and rain but it looked like a wonderful place to have a drink . they had nice amenities like tea nespresso biscuits water bottles for your room and a butler pantry for refills.
This place is special, such a lovely space. Quiet and secluded. We had a lovely weekend exploring Hertford. The bed was super comfortable, it had lots of extra little touches, like milk in the fridge, coffee pods for the coffee machine, spices for cooking. I think this is one of the best rental places I have ever stayed.
Breakfast was superb, great selection to choose from, staff were friendly and helpful. The front of house staff, especially Zoe was very helpful and always made things easy. The room was comfortable, lovely soft bed. The location is great for anyone staying in Hertford, near to shops restaurants and the Heritage Trail.
It is in the centre of Hertford, a lovely hotel with friendly staff; we held lunch with friends and the service was great and the food was excellent. We will definitely use the Hertford House Hotel again on our next visit.
Warm welcome at check-in to assistance throughout my stay, the hotel personnel demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attentiveness.
Clean location.
Excellent location to main attraction and town centre.
I had to move the booking to September because of illness, and this was no problem. The hotel has undergone a big renovation, and I have to say our room was fantastic. The staff were lovely.
Very comfortable, beautiful decor. We stayed at this hotel several years ago and were very comfortable . We loved all the updates you have made . The showers were fantastic .
